Who we are: Boca Raton Mold Remediation is a local mold remediation company working in Boca Raton and the cities on either side of it, from Boynton Beach down to Deerfield Beach and west to Parkland. We find mold, remove it under containment, dry what got wet and tell you what caused it. That is the whole business.

A family business, run by a veteran

We are family-owned, and the person in charge served in the military before going into mold work. That background shows in how jobs run: a clear plan before anything is cut, a crew that turns up on time, and a site left clean and organized at the end of each day.

A few things our customers tend to notice. We try to get out for the inspection and estimate the same day you call. The person who prices the job explains each step in plain terms before it happens, so nothing on the invoice is a surprise. Plenty of Boca owners are away for part of the year, so if you are out of town we send regular progress updates and photos until the work is done. Once the growth is out, drying equipment usually stays on for a couple of days, and anything waiting on another trade, such as a roof repair, is sealed off with plastic until that trade arrives.

Why a Boca company built around mold and moisture

Most of the mold work in this part of Florida is sold as an add-on. A water restoration franchise arrives for a leak and adds mold to the invoice; a handyman scrapes a stain and paints over it; a cleaning service sprays something that smells clean. None of that deals with the reason mold grew. Mold and the water damage behind it are all we work on, and we built the company around the one question that decides whether a job stays fixed: where is the water coming from? Answering that properly takes moisture meters, time spent in the attic and the AC closet, and the patience to open a wall in the right place instead of the obvious one.

What Boca Raton does to a house

This is a hard climate for building materials. Outdoor humidity sits high for most of the year, and the hours when it drops are the hours your AC is running. The patterns we see again and again:

  • The AC is the dehumidifier. When it fails, or is set to 85 degrees while the owner is away, indoor humidity climbs within days. Closets, mattresses and the backs of dressers go first.
  • Condensate lines clog. Algae builds up in the drain line, the pan overflows, and the water runs into the closet floor and the wall behind it.
  • Storms find the roof. Wind-driven rain gets under tiles and flashing, wets the attic insulation and shows on the ceiling weeks later.
  • Concrete block walls wick moisture. Many Boca homes are block with furring strips and drywall inside; a failed window seal or stucco crack lets water travel behind the board.
  • High-rises share their plumbing. In a condo tower, the leak that wets your wall may start in the unit above or in a riser you do not own.

From the first call to the last wipe-down

You call or send the form and tell us what you are seeing or smelling. We come out, look at the affected area and the rooms around it, take moisture readings and check the likely sources: plumbing, the air handler, the roof, the windows. Then we explain, in plain terms, how far the growth goes, what has to come out and what can be cleaned, and we hand you a written scope with a price. When you approve it, we seal the work area with plastic and run it under negative air so spores are pulled through HEPA filters instead of drifting into clean rooms. Damaged material is cut out and bagged inside the containment. What stays is HEPA vacuumed, scrubbed and treated, and the structure is dried until the meters agree it is dry. Last, we walk the job with you, and if you or your insurer want independent clearance testing, the assessor does it before the containment comes down.

Lines we hold

  • We do not paint over mold, spray it and call it fixed, or fog a house instead of removing damaged material.
  • We do not cut out more drywall, cabinetry or flooring than the readings show is wet or contaminated.
  • We do not test our own work. Lab testing and clearance go to an independent licensed assessor.
  • We do not leave without telling you where the water came from, even if the fix belongs to a plumber, roofer or AC company.
  • We do not make health claims. If someone in the home is unwell, the right person to ask is a doctor.

Homes, condos and the places in between

Our work splits roughly three ways. Single-family homes, from the older ranch houses in east Boca to the gated communities west of the turnpike, where attics, AC closets and bathroom walls are the usual suspects. Townhomes and villas, which share walls and sometimes share the leak. And high-rise condos along A1A and downtown, where we work within the association's rules: certificates of insurance, elevator padding, approved hours and protection for hallways. Seasonal owners make up a real share of our calls, usually after a property manager opens a unit in the fall and finds the summer did its work. We can run the whole job with the owner out of state, with photos and readings sent at each stage.

Where our crews go

All of Boca Raton, east and west of I-95, plus Delray Beach and Highland Beach to the north, Deerfield Beach across the county line, and Parkland and Coconut Creek to the west. Boynton Beach is on the list too. Florida licenses mold remediators through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and you are welcome to check our standing on the state's lookup before we arrive.

Start with the right page

If you already know what you are dealing with: mold inspection and testing, water damage restoration or AC and duct mold. If you want numbers before anyone visits, the Boca Raton mold remediation cost guide lists the ranges we quote from. Or call (561) 786-9622 and describe what you are seeing.

Questions about the company

Are you a restoration franchise?

No. We are a local Boca Raton company, and the crew that inspects your home is the crew that does the work. There is no national call center between you and the people in your house.

Do you work for condo associations and property managers?

Yes. We work for unit owners, associations and managers, and we can coordinate with the association's own contractor when a leak started in a neighbor's unit or a common pipe.

How do I check a mold remediator's license in Florida?

Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation licenses mold remediators and mold assessors separately. You can look any company up by name or license number at myfloridalicense.com, and it is worth doing before anyone opens a wall.
